We are looking for someone who possess organizational skills and knowledge of standard warehouse operating procedures to fill the Pick/Pack Position in the Shipping Department. This position is under the immediate supervision of the Shipping Supervisor. May receive work assignments and instructions from other members of Leadership.

 

Responsibilities:

• Pick, pull, and prepare orders while maintaining an organized shipping area.
• Process outbound shipments.
• Ability to safely and efficiently use warehouse equipment including pallet jack, Cherry Picker, Sit down forklift, RF Scanner, computers, and printers.
• Perform cleaning and maintenance duties and report any unsafe work area conditions.
• Accurately and efficiently pick merchandise and transport to appropriate destinations around the distribution center.
• Read work instructions or receive verbal instructions to determine task assignments.
• Scan units, cartons, pallets, and location labels using an electronic RF scanner.
• Aid in loading and unloading trailers by hand for inbound and outbound processes

Requirements:

• Ability to read and write
• Ability to lift heavy objects
• Good organization and time management skills
• Proven work experience as a pick/pack, shipping, and receiving worker
• Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
• Must be able to work in hot environments

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma/GED
